String painting

Spotted this one in a Charlie and Lola magazine this afternoon so we had to have a go! It’s a great ‘slowie’. Basically you squeeze some paint onto a paper plate, dip some string in, make sure it’s all covered in paint and then place the string onto a piece of paper in various shapes and patterns and press down. It’s great fun, you can make all sorts of designs from jungle vines to flowers or snakes or butterflies. My kids loved the slipperiness and messiness of it all. Wet wipes at the ready slow mummies !!!
